Daifuku Chronicles

The Asian market near my place is a treasure trove. Sometime I just hop in there to just look at the cute and strange/unknown food items that i have never seen before. The first time I had a Japanese Daifuku, I was not too amazed by it. It was really strange to have sweet beans as a dessert treat. As time went on, it really grew on me. I really like Daifuku now.

My new favorite is the sesame seed Daifuku. I also tried a white and pink color one, they were quite good too. Although color was the only difference between them.

Teaventures - Hoji!

After try many types of tea, this tea (Hoji cha) just blew me away (or rather my taste buds :) ). Its nothing like I've ever tasted or expected.

One can just taste the careful toasting application to the tea. Its just spectacular. For people who drink black tea and not so much fond of green tea, this tea would be a great addition to their tea repertoire. It has such a beautiful brown hue. Absolutely fabulous!

Carlo's bakery - Cake Boss

Yes! I finally got to visit Carlo's Bakery. As expected the lines were huge and it was stuffy inside the bakery. I wish I could take a bite out of each and every cute pastry :)

I tried the nutella cream puff (i think that is what its called) and an Eclair. The filling inside tasted more like vanilla pudding, but I'm not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. They were delicious regardless.

Here is some eye candy for those who would like to feel hungry. ^-^
